PTE Award Nomination Process

The nomination process begins with the Phase I Nomination Form (designed to be completed electronically).  This level of nomination offers the nominator the opportunity to consider each of the components that determines whether a program is exemplary or not.  Nominations will be reviewed to identify those programs that are truly exceptional.  Once those programs are identified, the nominated program will be contacted by the awards chairperson to notify them of their advancement to Phase II of the awards process.  All nominees will be notified of their status following Phase I.

The Phase II Nomination Form (designed to be completed electronically) will guide Phase II nominees in submitting additional information to justify the components of Phase I.  Phase II nominees will further be required to submit one photo of the program staff (for possible inclusion in the PTE Summer Conference bulletin), and other photos that depict the program itself.  Phase II nominees will be notified of their status as the awards process is completed in the middle of March.

If a program is identified as an award recipient, program staff will be required to submit a variety of digital photos that depict the program. An appropriately signed IDPTE Image Release Form will be required of all persons depicted in submitted pictures. It will be necessary for the program to identify all persons depicted in each photo to ensure that a proper release form is received for use by the Division in the awards PowerPoint, the website, news articles, and more.
