Certification/Credential

Idaho's policy requires that teachers of professional-technical classes or programs in high schools or professional technical colleges must hold an endorsement in an appropriate occupational discipline. This endorsement may be held on a Secondary Teaching Credential or on an Occupational Specialist Certificate.

The office of certification and professional development provides information to professional-technical educators to certify and maintain their credentials. The office works closely with the Department of Education’s Certification office and the Professional Standards Commission to provide qualified leadership in Idaho’s schools.
