16 National Career Clusters
There are 16 Career Clusters supported nationally by the States’ Career Cluster Initiative (SCCI). The National Association of State Directors of Career Technical Education Consortium (NASDCTEc) has adopted the cluster philosophy and formed the States' Career Cluster Initiative (SCCI) to develop, support and expand the use of Career Clusters. Each cluster has pathways with sample occupations in each pathway. A model has been developed for each cluster that shows these relationships.
Knowledge and skills statements describe what learners/employees need to know and be able to do for career success in each Cluster and/or Pathway.
