In order to offer any of the CAD Academy Curriculum Programs, Teachers must complete the required CAD Academy Certification training.
The CAD Academy
The Idaho CAD Academy Program of Study utilizes the existing TE-1905 Fundamentals of Engineering Technology as the initial prerequisite course in the 9th grade followed by a 3 year CAD Academy Program of courses.
The CAD Academy is a comprehensive Pre-Engineering/Pre-Architecture program which culminates with student certification. Realize increased student enrollment and performance through the utilization of industry leading 3D engineering and architectural software titles + integration of green and sustainable design curriculum into your academic program. TCA was created to prepare students for advanced education and the jobs opportunities of the new design economy.

The STEM Academy
The Idaho STEM Academy Program of Study utilizes the existing TE-1905 Fundamentals of Engineering Technology as the initial prerequisite course in the 9th grade followed by a 3 year STEM Academy Program of courses.
The STEM Academy is developed by educators for education. This program was designed to prepares students to be competent, capable citizens in a technology-dependant society through comprehensive student assessments including traditional tests, project based learning presentations and portfolios. This STEM centric program is focused on standard based foundations, gender awareness, socio-economic concerns and general learner needs to engage as many learners as possible. Program develops engineering pipeline by featuring a main line education approach providing STEM education for all students.
Design for Engineering Academy
The Idaho Design for Engineering Academy Program of Study utilizes the existing TE-1905 Fundamentals of Engineering Technology as the initial prerequisite course in the 9th grade followed by a 2 year Engineering Design and Manufacturing Program of courses culminating with the Capstone course, Engineering Design & Development (EDD).
Design for Engineering Academy is a customizable two year engineering program featuring CAD/CAM/CNC which culminates with student certification. DFEA enables instructors to effectively teach engineering design + manufacturing applications using SolidWorks. DFEA prepares students for engineering school + career opportunities in mechanical design and manufacturing. Teaching solid modeling, manufacturing concepts and automated production has never been this easy.
