REGISTRATION OF PROPRIETARY SCHOOLS
and POSTSECONDARY EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS,
after July 9, 2009

As you are probably already aware by now, the 2009 Legislature made significant changes to the registration law.   The State Board Of Education will review (and hopefully approve) their New Temp Rule, to align with revised statute, at the August meeting in Pocatello. 

We are currently updating all the forms and procedures needed to renew school registrations for the coming year.  Therefore, your current Registration Certificate is valid through the end of September 2009.  An Official Notice Letter (revised June 4, 2009) is now posted on the OSBE web pages; 

...   www.boardofed.idaho.gov ... (pull down) Higher Education -- (then select) either  Postsecondary Educational Institution Registration … or … Proprietary Schools Registration.

ALSO, on July 9, 2009, Harv Lyter moved from PTE into the Office of the State Board Of Education (OSBE) to manage a combined registration program from there.  PTE will no longer register Proprietary Schools.
