List of Registered Proprietary Schools

Proprietary Schools

Proprietary schools are "for-profit" institutions run by private individuals or corporations. These schools may offer both non-degree training and/or academic degrees.

The Idaho Division of Professional-Technical Education serves as the registration authority for proprietary schools. Proprietary schools are those which have no other governing oversite within the state of Idaho under the statutes of Chapter 24.

To Register

The state of Idaho requires all proprietary schools to register. There are different forms for Accredited and Non-Accredited Schools:

• Idaho Accredited Proprietary School Registration

• Idaho Non-Accredited Proprietary School Registration

In addition, all schools must submit the following where applicable:

• Private Trade Schools Surety Bond/Form

• Designation of Legal Agent Form

• Permit to Act As Agent Form

• Assessment for Student Tuition Recovery Form
