Student Day at the Legislature

The PTE Foundation is committed to stimulating and promoting quality Professional-Technical Education to fill the needs of Idaho’s growing workforce.  It is the vision of the PTE Foundation to be the leader among Foundations in Idaho that support Professional-Technical Education.  It is also a Foundation that provides resources for students, teachers and programs and reaches out to all parts of the state to form lasting partnerships between education and industry; these partnerships work for quality in PTE and result in preparation of students who excel in meeting the changing needs of the workplace. 

Annually the Idaho PTE Foundation sponsors a luncheon that brings together Idaho's student organization leaders with their legislators and business & industry partners. Nicknamed the "Student Day at the Legislature", this luncheon gives the student leaders a chance to interact with their legislators and community leaders. The students are the best evidence that Idaho's professional-technical education program produces outstanding future leaders. The legislators and business & industry partners are never disappointed in the students attitudes, skills, and performance.
